About Us
We've been processing feathers since 2002 — over two decades of learning, mostly the hard way, exactly what separates a feather product that lasts from one that falls apart after a few uses. What started as feather processing work eventually grew into DanceFeathers: a dedicated maker of ostrich feather fans, boas, brooches, and wedding fur accessories, built around the same standards we started with.
Our production base is in Dongyang, Zhejiang, China — a region with a long-standing feather and textile manufacturing tradition, which is part of why we set up here in the first place. Every product starts long before it reaches a customer: choosing dyes that hold color evenly instead of fading in patches, hand-selecting individual plumes rather than buying by the undifferentiated batch, drying them properly so they keep their natural loft, and finally hand-assembling each piece — a fan, a boa, a brooch, a bulk feather order for a wedding centerpiece — into something that's actually built to be used, not just photographed once.

Who We Work With
Most of our customers fall into a few groups: burlesque and cabaret performers who need pieces that survive a full run of shows, brides and wedding planners looking for a dramatic and durable accessory, party and event planners outfitting a themed celebration, and cosplay and photography clients who need props with real texture and presence in front of a camera. Different use cases, but the same underlying requirement every time — the feathers have to actually hold up.
