Step 1: The Ruthless Selection Process
The journey begins with an uncompromising standard. We sort through tens of kilograms of raw ostrich feathers, and the selection process is brutal. Our artisans manually inspect every single plume. We look for pristine quill strength, perfect natural curvature, and—most importantly—a fluff width that hits the golden 15cm fiber specification. If a feather is too thin, stiff, or asymmetrical, it is instantly rejected. Only the top 5% make the cut.
Step 2: Secret Washing & Color Conditioning
To ensure our signature pure white fans stay brilliantly bright and never turn a dull, historic yellow under stage lights, the selected plumage undergoes a secret conditioning process. Fired up in traditional copper vats, the feathers are washed, treated, and structurally locked. (Performer Tip: This is also where our magical hand-dyeing happens.
